Blogdom's Best: Cincinnati Reds

More than any other sport, baseball lends itself to individual blog obsession. Every Major League Baseball team has several blogs obsessed with chronicling the ins-and-outs of everything. Deadspin salutes these modem-addled souls and proudly presents Blogdom's Best, given to the most outstanding blog for each team. The Reds are one of the most tradition-rich teams in all of sport, though you wouldn't know it today; the general decline of the franchise and the ESPN-aided erosion of everything that was constant and lasting about baseball have taken care of that. No more opening day dips in Cincinnati, no more semi-racist owners, no more Big Red Machines. Being a Reds fan is hard work now. Of course, imagine what it was like when Jerry Springer was mayor.

3. Red Reporter. In case you wondered how Reds fans keep themselves busy when they can't stand watching their team anymore, this guy also does an Ohio State football blog. 2. Red Hot Mama. More attitude than info, but that's OK: There's plenty to poke fun at in Reds land these days. 1. Reds (and Blues). Detailed, lengthy posts each day, and also responsible for the brilliant South Park Reds illustration.
