Authorities Concerned Bombing Suspect Could Leave The State [UPDATE]
This morning, Connecticut State Police put out a bulletin to be on the lookout for a car that might be occupied by Dzhokar Tsarnaev, the surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings. [UPDATE: The car has been recovered in Boston.] Meanwhile, conflicting reports have swat teams in Watertown surrounding a house they believe contains a suspect.
Today, April 19, 2013, the Connecticut State Police received information from the Boston Investigation that a suspect vehicle could POSSIBLY be occupied by a wanted suspect.
The vehicle is described by BOSTON AREA AUTHORITIES; the SUSPECT MAY BE OPERATING A:
GRAY, HONDA, CRV
REGISTRATION: 316 ES9 Massachusetts
A spokesperson told the Connecticut Post that police believe the vehicle may be headed to New York City.
Update: The Connecticut State Police have amended their bulletin, saying the car has been recovered in Boston.
It's not clear if this is related to an earlier NBC report that police were seeking an additional accomplice of the Tsarnaev brothers on an Amtrak train from Boston to New York City. That train was stopped and searched in East Norwalk, Conn., but no one of interest was found aboard. Amtrak service has been suspended between Boston and Providence, R.I.
