Jordan Woodruff Aurora Gaming rose to the top of Group A, while BOOM Esports made the biggest move with a pair of wins as DreamLeague Season 26 continued Tuesday.
BOOM was the only team in either group to win both its matches Tuesday, moving it into a tie for second in Group A. Meanwhile, PARIVISION and Yakult Brothers are tied atop Group B by notching one win and one tie apiece.
Sixteen teams are competing in the $1 million Dota 2 tournament, divided into two groups of eight in Group Stage 1. The top four teams from each group will advance to Group Stage 2, consisting of one single round-robin group.
All matches are two-game series in Group Stage 1, while the next phase will feature best-of-three matches. Four teams will then compete in a double-elimination playoff bracket, featuring best-of-three matches until the best-of-five grand final on June 1.
The first-place team will take home $250,000 of the $1 million prize pool, plus a $40,000 club reward. There will also be 29,200 ESL Pro Tour points distributed among the participating teams.
On Tuesday, Aurora staked its spot atop the Group A standings by tying Nigma Galaxy 1-1 and defeating Team Liquid 2-0. Aurora beat Liquid in 38 minutes on green and 47 minutes on red.
Nigma Galaxy added an easy win over OG.LATAM (29 minutes red, 23 minutes on green), while BOOM swept both OG.LATAM (29 minutes on red, 47 minutes on green) and Shopify Rebellion (55 minutes on green, 38 minutes on red).
Seven of the day's eight matches in Group B ended in 2-0 final scores, though no team went two-for-two. The only tie was Yakult Brothers (39 minutes on red) against PARIVISION (45 minutes on red).
PARIVISION proceeded to beat Gaimin Gladiators (43 minutes on green, 35 minutes on red), while Yakult Brothers went on to blank Team Falcons (39 minutes and 32 minutes, both on red).
