Andrew Wiggins Dunked All Over The Bulls Last Night
For a maybe-bad team, the Wolves are really fun to watch. Karl-Anthony Towns looks good and tall and spry, Ricky Rubio is finally healthy, and Young Cock Andrew Wiggins has, so far, done a better job converting his all-world athleticism into production than last year. And he won Rookie Of The Year last year.
Take last night against the Bulls in Chicago, when the Wolves won in overtime. Wiggins got way up for this alley-oop in the second quarter. Pau Gasol’s lackadaisical help defense didn’t help, but Wiggins touched the sky.
Then, in crunch time, Wiggins slipped a double team with a nifty spin move and jammed it home, which is the kind of explosive move he can make even after spinning out of a pinch. He dropped 31, even though he had Jimmy Butler on him.
Towns helped end it in overtime with this block on Derrick Rose. The Wolves are now 3-2, better than five of last year’s Western Conference playoff teams.
